Mumbai: A former starlet went missing from the Mumbai airport leaving her two children stranded on their way to London. However, 24 hours later, the police tracked her and reunited her with her two teenage sons.

Cops found Vaishali Hazare, 41, near a temple in Vile Parle after her husband registered a missing persons complaint with the Versova police.

The authorities suspect that marital discord between Vaishali and her husband Hemendra led her to leave her children alone at the airport and flee.

According to investigating officers, Vaishali and her two sons - aged 14 and 17 - had gone to the airport to board a flight to London in the last week of February.

However, moments before entering the airport, Vaishali left her kids and fled the airport.

Unable to find their mother, the two teens approached officials from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), who in turn contacted the family and registered missing persons complaint with the Versova police station.

A day later, while searching for Vaishali, cops found her at a temple in Vile Parle.

Initial investigations revealed that Vaishali and her husband were on rocky grounds in their marriage, which led her to run away.

"We had registered a missing person's complaint. We found her and have contacted her husband," said Nandkumar Mhetar, senior inspector, Versova police station.
