The trains collided when they accidentally came on the same track at Andheri station on Saturday night.

Mumbai: Two suburban trains collided when they accidentally came on the same track at Andheri station on Saturday night, a Railway official said.

"The incident happened at around 11 PM at platform number 4 of Andheri suburban railway station. The buffers of the two local trains dashed into each other," Western Railway spokesperson Nitin David said.

While one train was coming from Churchgate railway station, the other one, which was coming from Borivali, was heading towards Churchgate, the official said.

"There have been no injuries reported in the incident so far," he added.

An inquiry has been ordered into the incident, he said without divulging other details.
