Bengaluru: Even as heated scenes were witnessed inside the Karnataka Assembly over the mysterious death of an upright IAS officer, two MLAs were busy sleeping in the House.
The MLAs who were caught snoozing were Higher Education Minister RV Deshpande and Forest Minister B Ramanath Rai.
The issue of death of IAS officer rocked the Assembly as Opposition MLAs rushed to the well of the House, demanding a CBI probe into incident.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said he will hand over the case to the state CID.
Meanwhile, there were protests in Bengaluru and a shutdown in Kolar where Ravi was the Deputy Commissioner and had taken on the sand mafia.
Ravi was found hanging from his residence in Bengaluru. Police have suspected it to be a suicide though no note has been found.
