NETOOR: In a gory incident, a man chopped off his son's nose and tried to stab his wife. George,65, a woodcutter, of Aikyaranadu, Nettoor, picked up a quarrel with his son Shyju,35, on Tuesday.In a fit of rage, George took a sharp weapon and chopped off the nose of Shyju.When the nearby residents reached the spot after hearing Shyju's screams, they found him lying in a pool of blood and rushed him to the Lakeshore Hospital. He was later taken to the Specialists Hospital. Shyju is a carpenter.George was arrested by the Panangad police and will be produced before the court.
