HYDERABAD: The Task Force police on Sunday arrested a person who was involved in various criminal activities in the city and recovered lethal weapon from him. Police said that on credible information, they nabbed a hired killer Mubarak Bin Abdullah Bin Salmin Sigar, and seized deadly weapons from him. The accused is a resident of Shaheen Nagar, Quba Colony, Pahadi Sharief in the city. Mubarak was apprehended at Water Tank, Santosh Nagar in the city and a dagger was seized from his possession. During interrogation, he confessed that, since the last 4-5 years, he is involved in many criminal activities like robbery, murder and attempt to murder cases,'' police added. In 2007, he was arrested in a robbery case. After being releasing from the jail 2008, he was again arrested by Pahadi Sharief police for the attempted murder of a Saudi. During his remand period in jail, he became friends with Jaffer Hussain, a history-sheeter of Bahadurpura police station. On being offered Rs. 60,000 by Jaffar Hussain, Mubarak along with others, murdered Haji, a local political leader of Hasan Nagar area and a rival of Hussain. He along with other accused was arrested by Rajendra Nagar police. After being released from jail in September, 2010, Hussain was killed by Haji's supporters. Since, the murder of Hussain, Mubarak was expecting a severe threat to his life from his opponents and trying to eliminate the Haji's, for which he procured a dagger. Investigation are on.
