THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 15-member high-level delegation from the Malaysian state of Sarawak headed by Chief Minister Abdul Taib Bin Mahmud visited Technopark on Thursday.The delegation was received by M Vasudevan, Senior Manager (Business Development), Technopark, at Park Centre.Vasudevan conducted a presentation on Technopark and Kerala IT for the visiting delegation. The Chief Minister of Sarawak expressed great happiness over the visit to Technopark. “We are extremely impressed by the facilities provided at Technopark and we have focused plans to look into a mutual co-operation between Technopark and Sarawak Government to jointly promote IT industry in Sarawak and Kerala,” he said, according to a statement issued here.“We are really happy that this visit by Sarawak government will enable more in cross-country relationships there by generating more work opportunities. We can rightly say, Technopark has globally exposed at its best at various arenas,” Vasudevan said.The delegation also visited UST Global and Infosys campus and met officials there. Krishna Prasad, the centre head of UST Global, Chennai, made a presentation and Abhilash Kumar, head of facilities, Infosys, received the delegation and spoke on the activities undertaken by Infosys in Thiruvananthapuram.Abdul Taib Bin Mahmud was also accompanied by his wife Puan Sri Ragad Kurdi Taib and Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, the minister for Resource Planning and Environment, Sarawak.
