KANNUR: Irrepressible CPM leader M V Jayarajan has fallen on the wrong side of law again. On Wednesday, he made a call to the SFI students to use physical force against Kozhikode North Assistant Commissioner of Police K Radhakrishna Pillai when he is not in uniform. Promptly, the town police registered a case against him under sections 116 (provocative speech) and 117 (incitement to violence) of the IPC and the Kerala Police Act 17E. Jayarajan’s call was made while he was inaugurating a dharna at the municipal stadium complex here organised by the SFI demanding action against the ACP, who had fired at the agitating students in Kozhikode. Jayarajan said, “there is no difference between Radhakrishna Pillai and you when he appears without uniform”.He said there was nothing wrong in beating up the police official whenever he was spotted without uniform. Police officials, including the District Superintendent of Police, should be prepared to face the consequences if they tried to repeat the ‘Radhakrishna Pillai model’ in Kannur, he said.
