After addressing three rallies in poll-bound Chattisgarh on Thursday, BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi is scheduled to address Vijay Shankhnad rally at 1:00 pm at Nanpara road, Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh on Friday. This will be a part of his nation-wide campaign for general elections scheduled for 2014.

The district administration, which had earlier not given permission for the rally citing security reasons, issued clearance to BJP on Thursday but with certain conditions. The BJP leaders had been asked to get the helipad prepared on Thursday itself and to get it cleared by the security agencies, City Magistrate Hari Ram Singh said.

The organisers of the rally had also been asked to extend the cordoned off area of the dais from four metres to seven metres. District Magistrate Kinjal Singh had earlier not issued permission for the rally saying the party organisers had not made preparations according to the security norms of the Gujarat Chief Minister.

Meanwhile, BJP alleged that the Uttar Pradesh Government is wary of the increasing popularity of Modi in Uttar Pradesh and is making all efforts to put a spanner in it. "This was done for rallies in Kanpur and Jhansi. SP Government in the state is wary of the popularity of Modi," BJP's state chief spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak alleged.
