Learning 2012 to be held

KOCHI: The second international learning convention, ‘Learning 2012,’ will be held at Pastoral Orientation Centre (POC), Palarivattom, from January 20 to 22.Experts in learning, teaching, personality development and education, from Germany and Switzerland are also facilitating the workshop sessions. K M Abraham, principal secretary, Higher Education, will inaugurate the convention. M Beena, chairman and managing director, Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation, will preside over the function. Rev Stephen Althara, director, POC, will deliver the keynote address. Jiji Thomson, additional secretary, Govt of India, will deliver a special address on January 21. Prof K S Radhakrishnan, chairman, Kerala Public Service Commission, will deliver the valedictory address. Teachers, trainers, BEd and MEd students and workshop facilitators will participate. The number of seats is limited to 300. The Lifelong Learning Foundation (LLF) awards for innovation and creativity will be presented to P Vijayan for social innovation, Kochouseph Chittilappilly for corporate creativity, and  K G Nair for popularisation of science, on January 20.
