LDF had chance to rewrite history: Bardhan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI general secretary A B Bardhan here on Tuesday said that the Left Democratic Front in the state had a chance in the last Assembly elections to rewrite history by putting an end to LDF and UDF coming to power alternately as the UDF managed only a marginal victory. He was inaugurating the PKV Memorial CPI District Council Office here.  He said that the Opposition should take care to prevent the present government from derailing the achievements of the LDF Government. All the Leftist political parties, including CPI and CPM, have reviewed the defeat the front suffered in the election and identified the reasons for the defeat. The Front will learn from their mistakes and re-emerge stronger than ever, Bardhan said.  ENS Veteran CPI leader Veliyam Bhargavan, state secretary C K Chandrappan, national executive council member Panniyan Raveendran and state executive council member Binoy Viswam were also present at the inaugural function  presided over by national executive council member C Divakaran.
