MADURAI: Around 250 advocates of the district court here attached to the Madurai Bar Association laid siege to the post office at Tallakulam, here on Thursday. They insisted that all commercial establishments owned by Keralites, and Central government offices remain closed till the Mullaiperiyar dispute was resolved. “All the Central Government- run organisations, including post offices, Income Tax offices, railways, customs and passport offices, besides all establishments owned by Keralites should remain closed until the Mullaiperiyar dispute is resolved,” said A K Ramasamy, secretary of the Madurai Bar Association. The advocates laid siege to the post office, seeking its closure.According to them, if the firms owned by Keralites remain open, it will lead to tension and unrest.
