New Delhi: The last date for submission of online applications for The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) fellowships has been extended to September 12.
The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going national programme of fellowships in basic sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally and highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and career in research.

The objectives of the programme are to identify the students with talent and aptitude for research; help them realise their potential in their studies; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.
Eligibility for KVPY Fellowships:
–For Students in after 10th Class
Scholarship: Rs 4,000 per month.
Annual Contingency grant: Rs. 16,000.
–For Students in B.Sc., B.S., Integrated M.Sc., M.S.
Scholarship: Rs.5,000
Annual Contingency grant: Rs. 20,000.
–For Students in M.Sc, 4th to 5th years of Integrated M.Sc., M.S.
Scholarship: Rs.7,000
Annual Contingency grant: Rs. 28,000.
