The High Court on Monday directed passport officials to produce all documents related to passport renewal application of former cricketer Anil Kumble’s stepdaughter Aaruni on a petition in the forgery case against him.
Hearing the petition filed by Kumar V Jahgirdar, the biological father of Aaruni, Justice Dilip B Bhosle directed the Regional Passport Officer (RPO) not to destroy any document related to Aaruni’s passport until further orders. Jahgirdar sought action against police for not taking action against Kumble who had allegedly forged Aaruni’s signature on her passport and for not registering an FIR against him.
Justice Bhosle adjourned the case till October 16.
