198. Kukshi is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Dhar (ST) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Kukshi falls in Dhar district and Malwa Tribal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,19,279 voters in the seat, which includes 1,10,473 male voters, and 1,08,794 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Kukshi recorded a voter turnout of 74.5%. In 2013 the turnout was 71.81%, and in 2008 it was 69.52%.
In 2013, Surendrasingh Hani Baghel of INC won the seat by a margin of 42,768 votes (29.29%). Surendrasingh Hani Baghel secured 61.03% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 10,798 votes (10.46%), registering 48.36% of the total votes polled.
