New Delhi: Another sex scandal has rocked Kerala. A man has been arrested for trying to sell his daughter to the sex trade in Kothamangalam.
Police said the fourteen-year-old victim was sexually exploited in cars and autorickshaws for the past three months.
The police were tipped off by an anonymous caller and it was then that they nabbed the girl's father. Two other men were also arrested in the case.
The victim was rescued and taken to a government hospital.
Cases against the girl's father and the other two arrested will be registered under the Indian Penal Code and the Juvenile Justice Act.
This case brings back memories of the Paravur sex scandal that rocked the state in June. In that scandal a part-time actor raped his daughter and then later sold her off. 35 people, including a CPM leader, were arrested in the case.
