Congress legislator from Dhanbad, Chandra Shekhar Dubey, resigned from the membership of the Jharkhand assembly, after he got a ticket from the Trinamool Congress for the Lok Sabha polls, on Thursday.
Congress legislator from Dhanbad, Chandra Shekhar Dubey, resigned from the membership of the Jharkhand assembly, after he got a ticket from the Trinamool Congress for the Lok Sabha polls, on Thursday.
"I have resigned from the membership of the assembly as I am a candidate of the Trinamool from Dhanbad. I have resigned on moral grounds," Dubey said.
Speaker Shashank Shekhar Bhokta said, he has received Dubey's resignation and will accept it. "The majority of the government is decided on the floor of the house. The speaker, chief minister or the opposition cannot decide whether a government is in majority or in minority," he added.
