BANGALORE: Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa who was supposed to be present before a special court in connection with the hearing of disproportionate assets case on Tuesday, did not turn up. The court directed her to appear before it on November 22 to record her statements.Earlier, Jayalalithaa’s counsel B Kumar moved an application seeking postponement of the hearing in accordance with the SC’s directive last week. The judge B M Mallikarjunaiah accepted the plea and postponed hearing till November 22. However, the other accused in the case Sashikala Natarajan, and D Sudhakaran and Ilavarasi, appeared before the court.It may be recalled that Jayalalithaa had appeared before the court on October 20 and 21 and answered more than 579 questions of about 1,000 questions framed by the special court in connection with the case.
