CHENNAI: AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa on Friday constituted a 43-member committee to lead the party campaign for the June 12 by-election in Pudukottai Assembly constituency.The committee comprises 32 ministers and 11 office-bearers of the party.For the by-election to Sankarankoil Assembly constituency also, the Chief Minister had formed a 43-member election committee. This is the third by-election, the ruling AIADMK is facing within an year of assuming office. In the previous by-elections, Jayalalithaa had taken the lead in announcing the candidates and undertaking campaign.The 11 committee members for Pudukottai other than the ministers are PH Pandian, organising secretary, A Thamizhmagan Hussain, secretary of MGR Mandram, V Jayaraman, secretary of Election Wing, TR Anbazhagan, secretary of Jayalalithaa Peravai, R Chinnasamy, secretary of Anna Thozhil Sanga Peravai, RB Udhayakumar, secretary, MGR Youth Wing, S Saravana Perumal, secretary of Students; Wing, A Anwar Razza, secretary of Minorities Wing, Vaigai Selvan, secretary of Youth Brigade, KP Krishnan, MLA and RS Rajakannappan, former minister.Jayalalithaa asked the cadre of the party to cooperate with the members of the election committee and work for victory of party candidate VR Karthik Thondaiman.
