CHENNAI: AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa on Saturday chaired the meeting of the party’s MPs in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha ahead of the Budget session of Parliament that is scheduled to begin from March 12.The AIADMK chief advised the party MPs to raise Tamil Nadu-related issues during the session whenever opportunity arises. In the recent past, she took up many issues with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh - demand for 1,000 mw additional power for Tamil Nadu to cope with the acute power crisis, consultation with Chief Ministers of all States before setting up the National Counter Terrorism Centre, allowing Lankan VIPs to TN only after consulting the State government, demand for supporting US-backing resolution on Sri Lanka’s war crimes, Mullaiperiyar dam issue etc.
