KOZHIKODE: Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), a constituent of ruling UDF in Kerala, today decided to implement 'one-man one post' theory in the party.Talking to reporters after the state working committee meeting, industries minister and IUML state General Secretary, P K Kunhalikutty said the meeting decided to implement the one-man one-post theory in the state.As a part of the decision, all those holding two posts from panchayat level to state-level, have technically gave up their one post to IUML State President Hyderali Shihab Thangal.However, the present office-bearers of the party, who are holding two posts, including P K Kunhalikutty and Kerala minister for Panchayat and social welfare Dr M K Muneer, who is also the secretary of state IUML, would continue till Thangal announces the replacement, he said.The meeting had given Thangal the responsibility in this regard, he said, adding the new replacement would be announced at the earliest.The meeting had also decided to find out the reason for the defeat of IUML candidates at Guruvayoor, Kuttiyadi, Iravipuram and Kunnamangalam assembly constituencies. IUML which was given 24 seats had won 20 seats in the recent assembly election to emerge as the second largest partner in the UDF.
