MYSORE: The tragic end of the hostage drama where two BBM students Sudheendra and Vignesh of Hunsur town were brutally murdered has evoked strong reaction from all quarters, while the clueless cops are striving to know the whereabouts of the miscreants.As the news of the brutal killing spread fast, Hunsur town was gripped in shock.Friends and relatives thronged the houses of the victims.Enraged over the barbarous act, Hunsur MLA H P Manjunath said that he would resign for failing to protect the boys. MP A H Vishwanath called on the family members along with others and appealed to Manjunath not to take emotional decision. He said that they would pursue the issue and urge home minister and police officials to nab the assailants.An meeting under Nagarika Hitharakshana Samithi has called for Hunsur bundh on Monday, to condemn the brutal killing of abducted youths and the failure of the police to rescue the boys. The traders have also condemned kidnap of children for ransom.It may be recalled that the Hunsur town had witnessed murder of two financiers in past one year.FlashbackSudheendra (20), son of Mohan Kumar, proprietor of hardware shop and Vignesh ( 20), son of Srinath, owner of provision stores were kidnapped when they were on the way to examination on June 8.The kidnappers kept changing their location ever since the abduction.The kidnappers had used the cell phones of the boys to speak to their parents demanding ransom.Though police could trace the mobile signals, they could not track the culprits.In a letter sent thorough a bus-driver, the kidnappers had warned the parents of the students not to approach media or police.However, Mohankumar had approached the police, and made all-out efforts to search for his son suspecting that the kidnappers belonged to Hunsur town.
