HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad regional round of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2012 witnessed an enthralling battle of wits on Tuesday at Taj Deccan.After a grueling and a close contest, the team from IPE, comprising Md.Zuhair Ali and Naveen Kumar edged out Syed Mustafa Hashmi and Sri Nagesh of Osmania Medical College to make it to the national finals to be held in Mumbai on April 8.The winning team from Hyderabad will now compete with regional winners from across the 23 other cities, where the quiz is being organised.The winners received a cash prize of `75,000 and the runnersup team was awarded a cash prize of Rs 35,000.Almost 148 teams from across 90 colleges participated in the preliminary round of Hyderabad regional round of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz, of which six teams had qualified for the regional finals.After Hyderabad, the quiz 2012 will move on to Bhubaneswar (March 1), Bangalore (March 3), Chennai (March 4), Manipal (March 6), which will be followed at many other cities.To follow this quizzing circuit log onto www.tatacrucible.com.
