Jammu: Just days before Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to Jammu and Kashmir, Panun Kashmir on Saturday alleged that the PM's employment package for displaced Kashmiri Hindus has been "inadequately implemented".
"The conditions attached with the package announced five years back have created a host of problems for our younger generation. The residents of Jagti Township are suffering due to the lack of basic facilities.
"The Prime Minister should have announced substantial measures in favour of the displaced community," said ML Raina, chairman of the Panun Kashmir's political affairs committee (PAC).
Raina said the upcoming visit of the Prime Minister "seems to be Kashmir centric". The organisation's president Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo said the need was to settle all territorial disputes with Pakistan.
The Prime Minister is undertaking two-day visit to the state from June 25.
