As the summer season has started, the temperature all around the country has been on the rise. The rise in temperatures has affected people who work directly under the sun during the day. People who work in the fields or have farms are being adversely affected due to the scorching heat. They have to resort to new measures to keep their fields cool in the sunlight. The farmers have been most affected, as their crops and poultry have been severely damaged by the increase in temperature. A similar situation happened in a small village in Mysuru, Karnataka, where chickens at a poultry farm were dying every day due to the heat. However, the owners of the land found a new way to protect them from the heat.

According to reports, a farmer named Shashidhar, who owns a poultry farm in the Chikkereyuru village in Heggadadevankote Taluk in Mysuru, has introduced a new way to protect his poultry from the heat of the summer. Due to the rise in temperature and the lack of facilities at local poultry farms, the chickens were affected a lot. Reportedly, around 50–60 chickens used to die every day due to the heat. To combat this situation, Shashidhar opted for a rain irrigation system that helped cool off the environment near the chickens.

To reduce the heat of the sun for the chickens, farmer Shashidhar has adopted the sprinkler irrigation system in the chicken shed. In a video, it can be seen that a sprinkler has been attached to the shed from where the water is sprinkled. The water then falls on the shed and travels to the ground. The ground near the chickens is cooled in this way.

The farmer has adopted another way inside the place where chickens are kept. Water is stored inside a bucket-like structure hanging from the top. From time to time, Shashidhar goes and spills that water on the ground. He has revealed that this has helped keep the ground cool and protect the chicken.
