BANGALORE: Former Tourism Minister and MLC Gali Janardhana Reddy who was remandeded in custody till March 12 was grilled by the police for hours at the CBI office in Gangenahalli on Saturday. The CBI officials posed a set of questions for Reddy and most were related to the mining carried out by Reddy’s Obalapuram Mining Company and another associated mining company owned by Reddy’s wife Aruna Lakshmi. Also, the police interrogated him about the mining companies that were allegedly owned by him in benami names.CBI sources said the investigators will get as much information by March 12 before he is produced before the Court again. Most of the questions were related to the exports and financial transactions made by these companies. Based on several documents seized during raids on the offices of the mining companies, the police  posed the questions to know whether Reddy’s statements match to the details mentioned in the documents.The CBI officials also decided take Reddy to Bellary in a day or two for further investigations. Meanwhile, Reddy and his aide Ali Khan were subjected to medical examination and their health condition was said to be normal. The police made elaborate security arrangements at the CBI office.
