I would love to play god: Suresh

Understanding of godGod is my best buddy. Only he knows what I confide in him. I’m one of the lucky few who has experienced all the three major forms of god. I’m a Hindu by birth. I did my schooling in a Christian missionary and graduated from a Muslim college. When good things happen, I thank Lord Vinayaka.  I take liberty to chide him when he turns my prayers down.Spiritual beliefsBeing religious is good as it inculcates moral values in an individual. Also, I think religious beliefs can’t be thrust on any one. I have always had a doubt if one needs to be associated with god. We worship god only in times of crisis and emergency. As long as there are exams, there will be prayers in schools. Likewise, as long as there are problems, people will seek the help of god. I see god in all the things that satisfy the basic needs of human beings. Spiritual experienceI would love to play god for a day. I would like to take a crash course from director Shankar and actor Arjun before doing such one-man business. During my college days, I was told that I had been detained from my institute for lack of attendance. Unable to bear the shock, I prayed to Lord Vinayaka. The next day, I got a call from my head of the department saying that the punishment was for another guy who shared my name. Luckily, Pillayar saved me! To me, god helps people who trust him. Pilgrim spotsI frequent the Ayyappa Temple in Raja Annamalaipuram when I need solace. Meenakshi Amman Temple, Madurai Azhagar Temple, Trichy Malaikottai and the  Infant Jesus shrine in Manali are some of my favourite spots. (S Suresh is an RJ with Hello FM)
