BANGALORE: Miscreants raided a house by breaking open its front door and made away with gold, cash and other valuables worth more than Rs 2.1 lakh.
The incident was reported in the house of a businessman, J Krishna, in AGS Layout near Harehalli.Police said Krishna along with his family members had gone to T Narasipura on last Thursday. The theft came to light when they returned on Sunday. They found that the front door was broke open and when searched inside the house, the valuables were stolen, the police said.

A case has been registered in Subramanyapura police station in this connection.

Auto Driver killed

The victim has been identified as Chand Pasha (25), a resident of Sadik Layout in Hennur. Police said Pasha was walking near Grace Enterprises at K G Halli railway gate when a gang of four men waylaid him, stabbed him and fled. He was lying unconscious in a pool of blood. Some passersby shifted him to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed in wee hours of Sunday.
