Dr Sasikala Devi of the PHC received the certificate and cash award from Chief Minister N Rangasamy.The Bahour PHC was awarded for mobilizing maximum number of children under intensive pulse polio immunization programme. Dr V Uma Shankar received the certificate of merit.Others awarded on the occasion for their best efforts in the health and family welfare were R Kalyani (lady health visitor, Ariyankuppam PHC), M Kuppammal (health inspector, Kosapalayam PHC), Krishna Palani (filaria inspector).
