A helicopter crashed in Maharashtra’s Pune on Wednesday morning. Three people who were onboard the chopper were killed in the incident, the police said.
According to the details, the private helicopter crashed near Bavdhan, a residential suburb in the city, soon after it had taken off.
Two ambulances and four fire tenders were present on the spot, news agency ANI reported.
Commenting on the incident, a senior official of the Pune Police told news agency PTI, “A helicopter crashed in the Bavdhan area of Pune district. As per primary information, three people are feared dead. It is yet to be ascertained whose helicopter it was as it is currently up in flames.”
The reason for the crash was yet not known.
Last month, four people were injured after a private helicopter crashed near Paud village in Pune, while it was en route to Hyderabad from Mumbai’s Juhu.
