MYSORE: Health care must reach the rural population and the poor, said Siddaganga Mutt’s Shivakumara Swamiji. After inaugurating the Panacea Hospital in JP Nagar here on Sunday, he said that doctors more than earning, should serve the society as healthcare was yet to reach the needy.Research and advancement in health sciences should benefit the rural population and the poor, he said and expressed happiness over the progress of health and other sectors, in the area. Turning his attention to treasure troves at Padmanabhaswamy temple in Kerala, he said that, the treasure had proved that India is a prosperous country.JSS Mutt’s Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji said that there was need for good health facilities in the country. He alo enforced on the fact that specialty hospitals charged much lesser than super specialty hospitals in developed countries. Former Minister H S Mahadeva Prasad, Hospital Director Jagadish, MLC Mallikarjunappa and others were present.
