New Delhi: HCL Infosystems has launched its new 3G enabled tablet – the HCL ME Y2. The new tablet offers 3G connectivity with its in-built SIM slot and is priced at Rs 14,999.
The tablet runs Android OS 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The device has a 2-mega pixel rear camera and a 0.3-mega pixel front camera. The tablet features a 7-inch multi touch capacitive screen with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels.
The tablet is powered by a Cortex A9 and 1 GHz processor. It comes with 1 GB RAM and has an internal memory of 8 GB, which is expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card. The HCL ME Y2 tablet also has a mini USB and a mini HDMI port.
It come engineered with a 4000 mAh Li-ion battery. The Y2 tablet lets users access HCL's ME App store which has over 15,000 applications.
Though HCL has not made it clear, but the biggest disadvantage of HCL tablets is that they do not let users access Google's Play Store.
The Y2 also offers Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity options. The HCL ME Y2 tablet is available in stores across the country from today.
