BANGALORE: The High Court on Thursday reserved till November 16 its orders on a petition filed by H D Balakrishna Gowda, the eldest son of former prime minister H D Deve Gowda, seeking interim stay on the proceedings against him at the Lokayuta Special Court.The single judge bench of Justice B V Pinto, which was hearing the matter, reserved its orders. Gowda is facing charges of possessing assets worth Rs 70 crore disproportionate to his known sources of income when he took voluntary retirement from government service. The assets are currently valued at Rs 500 crore.S N Balakrishna, former assistant manager of the state-run Visveswarayya Iron and Steel Ltd, in his complaint filed on September 22, had charged Gowda with possessing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income and prayed for action against him under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
