BANGALORE: The High Court on Monday disposed of an environment activist’s petition, seeking to implement his ‘new technology’ in the state. However, due to lack of details on the project, a technology to generate power on flow of the river was disposed by the court.The petitioner M R Srinivasan had moved the High Court had contended that his technology has an edge over the existing ones, where water is technically made to fall on turbines from a height to generate power.However the division bench comprising Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justice Ashok B Hinchigeri sought more details saying, “You are not sound in your petition, be clear in what you say.”When the petitioner could not explain much about it in detail, but could manage to say that the technology exist in USA across the rivers of Colarado and Hoover and submitted that this technology can generate more power than the existing conventional technologies.The bench disposed off the matter with a direction to the petitioner to furnish details and provide more explanation regarding the project supported with reasons and limitations of the existing technology.
