Tamil, Kaushik speaks on spirituality:Understanding of god God is in all of us. This is the simplest way I can describe it. Well, there is a complicated side to it too and that is he exists in various forms as we worship him in different religions. I feel it all boils down to the fact that no matter what the religion is or no matter how we see him to be, he is one and that cannot be altered.Also, I think before we look at something as infinite as God, we should try and understand finite things first. We fail to understand the person next to us, how are we ever going to understand the almighty? Spiritual beliefs My family helped me build faith in God. But still my beliefs don’t clash with anything that is practical or scientific. I pray to god in every form, I believe in all religions.God has been kind to have given me a wonderful life and I’m sure I’ll make something worthwhile out of it.Spiritual experience I visit my mother’s samadhi often, and things work out just the way I want it to whenever I’m there. It has given me such positive energy.Also, had an unforgettable experience when I met Sri Sathya Sai baba back in 1997. The girivalam (first time) I undertook while in Thiruvanamalai, and the number of temples I have visited, everything is an experience of it’s kind. During my shoot near Porur, a child fell in to a 10 feet deep pond.No one noticed it until Aspar (an artiste ) saved the kid. He did it despite the risk factors. I saw god in him! Spiritual practices Every morning I offer prayers to God, but I make sure that he excuses me if I’m not around.Pilgrimage sites Srirangam, Tirupathi, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Maangadu are close to my heart.
