HYDERABAD: Girls secured a pass percentage of 69 percent compared to 63 percent for boys in the Intermediate first year advanced supplementary examination, the results of which were announced on Saturday. Minister for Secondary Education, K Parthasarathy said the total pass percentage was 65 percent in general and 43 percent in vocational courses. Of the 5.97 lakh students in general category, 3.91 lakh passed while 15,281 passed in vocational courses out of 35,217. A Vani Prasad, secretary, Board of Intermediate Education said the principals can collect memoranda of marks and tabulation records from regional inspection officers on July 7. “Discrepancies if any, found in the memorandum of marks should be referred to the Board through principals before July 30,”  she said. She added there is a provision for recounting and provision of photo copy-cum-re-verification of answer scripts of the supplementary examinations.“Candidates should pay Rs 100 per paper for recounting and Rs 600  per paper for photo copy-cum-re-verification of the answer book. The applications should be submitted on or before July 10 to regional inspection officers through principals,” Vani Prasad said.
