Jaipur: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by the owner of her school in Ramganj locality in Jaipur.
Angry over the incident, a furious mob thrashed the accused and indulged in stone pelting.
The girl, a class VI student of Maharaja Secondary School, was allegedly raped by Ramesh Sain at the school office on Friday, Deputy SP (North) Anil Gothwal said on Saturday.
The girl later told her mother about the incident following which her family members along with some others reached the school premises and demanded that Sain be handed over to them.
As soon as the news spread, hundreds of people from the locality reached the school, brought the accused out of the building and started beating him. They then took him to Ramgang police station.
The angry people also damaged two vehicles and pelted stones. Later the agitated mob surrounded the police station and demanded that the accused be handed over to them.
They dispersed only after police assured that they would take action in the case.
Besides the accused, police have arrested the owner of the school building Rashid and his son Nadeem for allegedly thrashing some family members of the victim who were trying to enter the building, Gothwal said.
Meanwhile, in Faridabad a class III student was allegedly stripped off by her class teacher for not paying her tution fee, despite the fact she being the daughter of an autorikshaw driver was entitled to full fee concession.
"I was forced to take off my T-shirt. When my teacher caught hold of my skirt, I told her not to do that. When I asked why she was doing it, she said it was the principal's order. Then I was asked to stand half naked for a long time and when I tried to cover myself, she asked me to stand straight," the nine-year-old victim said.
A case has been registered against the teachers, identified as Lalita and Nitu, under Section 354 (assault on woman with the intention to outrage her modesty) and under the SC/ST Act, police sources said.
