NARASAPUR: The second Global Investors Meet (GIM) will be held at Bangalore on June 7 and 8 with an expected investment of over Rs. 6 lakh crore, said Karnataka CM D V Sadananda Gowda. The chief minister, after laying the foundation stone for the upcoming two wheeler manufacturing plant of Honda Motorcycles and Scooters, India Limited near Narasapur on Thursday, he said preliminary discussions to invite the industrialists have already began, Industrial Minister Murugesh R Nirani has been holding meetings with various global investors in this regard. Speaking on the government commitment over the industrial progress in the state, he said that under no circumstances the land needed for industrialisation would be forcibly taken from the farmers, and added that the government would provide better offering to farmers who provide land for setting up industries.
