Fusion 2012 inaugurated at DG Vaishnav

CHENNAI: A three-day inter-collegiate academic and cultural fest, Fusion 2012, organised by the Department of Business Economics of DG Vaishnav College was inaugurated at the college campus. Fusion 2012 will have competitions like ad zap, adaptune, choreo time, green to red, treasure hunt and entertainment events like singing, dancing and fashion show.Kalyana Sundaram, IFS, Forest department, Chennai circle, inaugurated the fest. Addressing the students, he said, "A forest is nothing but a fusion of trees, shrubs, herbs, animals and micro organisms. The four elements such as air, water, fire and environment are dependant on earth. Forests are natural industries supplying oxygen continuously to us." He also appreciated the college principal and students for taking steps to transform students into socially committed individuals. Close to 200 students from 20 city colleges were present at the inaugural, and more are expected to take part over the course of the three-day event said organisers.
