BANGALORE: The inaugural function for students of the sixth batch of free Kannada Classes organised by Kamala Goenka Foundation was held on Sunday, at Shri Veerendra Patil Degree College Sadashivnagar, Bangalore. The chief guest of this function was G C Chandrashekhar, secretary-cum-spokesperson of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee and the guest of honour was famous social activist M C Baldota. Along with the Managing Trustee of Kamala Goenka Foundation Shyamsunder Goenka, Veerendra Patil, Degree College Principal, Professor S M Sangameshwar, S Ramanathan, President Sadashivanagar Residents Welfare Association and well known multi-linguistic teacher Gnanmurthy were present. Recognition certificates were issued by the chief guest to the outgoing students of fifth batch. It was announced by the managing trustee of Kamala Goenka Foundation, Shyamsunder Goenka that starting from the sixth batch, elementary knowledge of Kannada script will also be given along with the spoken language.
