Four arrested for kidnap bid

THANJAVUR: Four persons were arrested on Saturday night for allegedly trying to kidnap Meena (40), wife of Narayanan and resident of Manambuchavadi Siva Royar Thottam in a van.Kartik (28), son of Rangaraj, of in Thirukarugavur Manakunnur, Sudhakar (30), Sahayaraj and Arivazhagan all from Manakunnur were arrested.  Police said, Naryanan and Meena were returning home after a wedding. On the Nagapattinam High Road, four persons came from behind and pulled Meena into the moving van. Her husband ran behind the van while  local residents chased the van and surrounded it.  The driver jumped then fled, leaving the four others inside.
