New Delhi: We have often heard of scams intended to deceive buyers and pushing them into buying fraudulent products, but a new scam has now come to light wherein scammers in the Central Valley Area, California are selling the floor tiles with an Apple logo slapped at the back as real iPads.
Scam artists have gone to great lengths to dupe buyers and make the products appear as real iPads. They wrap the tiles (with an Apple logo) in a bubble wrap and put them in boxes full of packing peanuts so that they look genuine at a casual glance.
According to a report from SFGate, "Investigators in Ceres, a Stanislaus County city south of Modesto, say they have received multiple reports of victims being approached outside of businesses on Hatch Road and offered popular electronics for low, "out of the box" prices."
