PUDUCHERRY: The police, on Tuesday, registered five different  cases in connection with the violent incidents at Yanam that broke out on January 27, but  arrests are yet to be made.A case has been registered against five known and 20 unknown persons for the rioting  that lead to  the death of Regency Ceramics president (Operations) KC Chandrasekhar.   Kondamuri Srihari Kusuma Kumar, closely associated with AIADMK Yanam secretary Maghappu Subba Rao, Manja Saikumar, secretary of Yanam unit of AIADMK, Nalla Vennkanah (Yanam merchant’s association), Vilson alias Satyanarayana, Kondamuri Chinni alias Nagendra  of Regency Ceramics Officers, and workers association have been named as accused in the FIR registered under IPC sections 147,148,452,302 ,307,436,427,324 (read with IPC 149)  charging them of murder, attempt to murder, trespassing into the premises with deadly weapons  and assaulting M Murthy, PRO of Regency Ceramics.Another case has been registered for attack on Yanam police station, including assault of sub-inspector of IRBN Senthamil Selvan, under sections 147, 148, 341, 353, 324 and 307 (read with 149 ).  The case has been  booked against Kondamuri Srihari Kusuma,Chodi Ramakrishna,  U Yeswara Rao, N Prasad Rao and 45 others.The third case is over attempt  to destroy public property, vehicles, rioting , attempt to murder under prevention of damages to public property Act, a non-bailable offence along with other IPC sections. Maghapu Subba Rao, M Srinivas, M Kondi Prasad, Chodi Ramakrishna, U Yeswara Rao and others have been named in this. Another case was against 1000 unknown persons for trespassing into the premises of Regency Ceramics with deadly weapons, looting  and damaging property worth many crores under sections 147,148, 451, 436, 427, 379  (read with 149).Under Cr P C  176/12, a case was registered into the  death of Murali Mohan, in police custody.Though the inquest report on the death of Murali Mohan is not known, as per  post mortem report he died of heart attack.
