WARANGAL: Congress MLA and former minister Konda Surekha has dared chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to have her removed from the party if he has the guts.Addressing a farmers’ dharna organised by the YSR Congress party near the district collectorate here on Monday, Surekha blasted the chief minister.“The Congress has made a person the chief minister who can not even speak properly in Telugu,” she said sarcastically.Surekha, who had written several letters to the party high command and made provocative statements even in the past, challenged the chief minister to have her and her husband (Konda Murali) removed from the party.She alleged that the farmers’ problems were compounded in the state due to the inefficient administration of Kiran Kumar Reddy.On the Telangana statehood demand, Surekha said that the YSR Congress would take a decision at its plenary meeting the date of which would be decided soon. “Jagan launched the new party for the self-respect of the people. He is not against the self-respect of Telanganites,” she clarified.She urged TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao to make the Telangana movement apolitical and wondered why he was not taking swipes at Sonia Gandhi who was delaying a decision.Surekha opposed the two-eye theory of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu.
