Engg seats: Supplementary counselling on 12

DINDIGUL: Supplementary counselling for admission of students to engineering colleges would be conducted on August 12 to fill the vacancies, Vice-Chancellor of Anna University P Mannar Jawahar has said.Speaking to mediapersons after participating in a seminar at PSNA College of Engineering here recently, Jawahar said that there were 2.2 lakh vacancies in engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. Anna University has so far granted admission to 50,000 students, while it is expecting to fill around 1.47 lakh vacancies.Among the candidates who were invited for counselling, 25 to 30 per cent failed to turn up, he said.
