BANGALORE: Dr Agarwal’s Group of eye hospitals unveiled its sixth hospital in Bangalore at Yelahanka New Town. It’s the 47th branch in the group. With these additions, Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospitals marks its presence with six eye hospitals in Bangalore city with tertiary hospital situated on Bannerghatta Road.Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital was formally inaugurated by S R Vishwanath, MLA Yelahanka constituency in the presence of Dr K N Geetha ShashiKumar, chairman, standing committee — public health, BBMP — Bangalore; M Muniraju, corporator, Yelahanka New Town and Prof Amar Agarwal, chairman-cum-managing director of Dr Agarwal’s Group of Eye Hospitals.Speaking on the occasion, S R Vishwanath, MLA said, “Yelahanka is growing leaps and bounds with major brands in healthcare coming closer to the reach of public, reflecting growing status of the area. It (the hospital) will be another silver lining in this area.”Prof Amar Agarwal, chairman-cum-managing director of Dr Agarwal’s Group of Eye Hospital said, “Today, perception of healthcare is beyond treating illness. The hospital has a team of more than 25 paramedical staff apart from medical team to provide quality eye care services. Investment of more than Rs. 4 crore has been made in this care centre.
