Doing mushy scenes with Kat is awkward: Salman
The two are paired together for the first time as a romantic lead in Yuvraj.

Mumbai: Actor Salman Khan said he feels awkward doing romantic scenes with girlfriend Katrina Kaif.

In an interview Salman said, "We have been paired together for the first time as a romantic lead in Yuvraj. However, I feel awkward. Besides, the audience would feel that the real life girlfriend-boyfriend story is being played on the screen."

"Also, I want the audience to give our pair the respect and dignity it deserves," he added.

Salman and Katrina have worked in a few films together, but were not romantically paired opposite each other.

The two starred in the comedies, namely, Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya and Partner in which Katrina was paired opposite Govinda.

Speaking about Veer, Salman said he has written the script for the film. "It is a period film about men and honour, but it also has comic elements," he said.

When asked, why he opted for Anil Sharma as a director for Veer,/i>, Salman said Katrina suggested Sharma's name as she had worked with him earlier in Apne.

Salman also spoke about his role in God Tusi Great Ho which is releasing on Friday, he said the movie is a comedy where the protagonist is forever complaining to God.

When asked if he speaks to God in real life, the actor said he does so in real life too, and some times people think he has gone mad.
