Doctor moves Kerala High Court

KOCHI: A doctor has approached the Kerala  High Court challenging  the denial of gold medal  to him for securing the  highest mark in the  Diplomate of National Board in Orthopaedics.Petitioner Dr Harikumar Ganesan Pillai of  Thiruvananthapuram submitted that the National Board of Examination declared him the gold medallist and had sent a letter in this regard. After four days, he got a letter that his selection was cancelled as he had not passed the theory examination in first chance as per the criteria.The petitioner submitted that there was no such  regulation or rule for denying the medal.
