New Delhi: Vidya Balan's sizzling show in 'The Dirty Picture' is all set to go public on December 2 and the publicity drive for the film is in full swing. The PR team has tried everything from the horse racing to open air music launch. Not only this, the lead actors of the film Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor have also travelled to several small places to promote their film.
'The Dirty Picture' is not the first film to focus so much on the promotion. Recently released 'RA.One' and 'Bodyguard' had also concentrated a lot on the publicity which paid back too. Both the films became the top money spinners at the box office and thus the team of 'The Dirty Picture' is leaving no stone unturned in finding new ways of promoting their film.
Emraan Hashmi's campaign outside parliament was also the part of the innovative promotional strategy where he suggested that the parliamentarians and 'The Dirty Picture' have something in common.
One may wonder about the common string between the politicians and the film but can this be the desire to achieve a powerful position.
If promos can be taken as the showcase window of the film then Vidya Balan's character in 'The Dirty Picture' wants to hold a powerful position in the film industry while other characters don't want her to reach the zenith.
The character does not seem to have any false inhibition about her own talent and unique qualities and probably that's why she wants to gain a respectable position without caring about the unethical means.
On the other hand, many politicians are also known for their clinginess to power which they achieve by hook or by crook.
Further the film is expected to show a clash of opinions among different film personalities which again resembles to politics as people live and die for different ideologies in politics.
Members of parliament might get some food for thought from the unusual story of one woman's quest for the ultimate position, against all odds.
