THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Cyber Crime Police Station has registered a case on Friday on a complaint by cine actor Raveendran alleging that a teacher in a private college in Payyannur had copied data from his hard discs without his knowledge.  Raveendran, in a complaint to the DGP the other day, said that K C Muralidharan, a teacher in the college, with the help of Premachandran, a teacher in Payyannur Girls Higher Secondary School, copied the data about cinema, film making, criticism etc from his hard discs. He had been engaged in collecting the data for the past 15 years as part of developing the concept ‘visual literacy.’   Raveendran was invited by the college for a workshop on February 18 and 19. He stayed there on February 20 also as he was requested to take another class.   “When I was about to enter the car, the teachers of the college carried my bag to keep it in the car. There were two hard discs of 1000 GB, one with 250 GB and another with 160 GB. On my return journey I found that the bag was missing. When I came back I realised that the data from the hard discs were copied by the teachers at the school computer lab,” he said in his complaint. He also said that he was not sure that whether they had deleted the data though he requested for the same. The case was registered following a directive from the DGP.
