Acting on a tip off, police raided the jawan's place in Doda district, arrested him and rescued the 15-year-old girl.
New Delhi: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan was arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police got information form a source and raided the place of the jawan in Kishtwar area of Doda district.
They arrested him immediately and rescued a 15-year-old girl, news agency PTI quoted sources as saying.
A case has been registered and the girl was returned to her family after medical examination, they added.
Last year in June, a girl from Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district was kidnapped and gangraped by some men, including a Special Police Officer (SPO), for several days.
